. with a dense fog your only seen three tenths of a mile in santa rosa, nothing in nevado. for miles around as f o. i checked with the faa and we do not have any flight delays to talk about for now but that could certainly be a possibility. keep that in mind if you're picking someone up from the airport. it is cold out there, we are below the freezing mark and santa rosa. 42 hayward, 33 livermore. into the afternoon, 60s to go round. temperatures spot on compared to yesterday. temperatures are around average of redwood city 64, 63 santa clara. it will be a nice day in the east bay. 64 fairfield in concord, 62 pleasanton. downtown san francisco 64, its 62 nevado. 7 day around the bay forecast highlights or whether in the warming trend really picks up as we head into valentine's day. it will be the perfect weather to be outdoors potentially for a picnic. friday temperatures are still flirting with the 70 degree mark. saturday and sunday temperatures of little bit cooler. rain in the forecast is right around next tuesday. >> we are not currently tracking any hot spots. bay bridge is not such a bad

good windchills. livermore and santa rosa reporting windchills in the 20s. it's cold for some but a dry forecast this week. you get a good look at that offshore right there. everything going off the coast. that means temperatures anywhere from 30s almost upper 20s to near 50. that 50 is half-moon bay with an offshore breeze. santa rosa 31. that puts their windchill 27. and livermore 26 with an east wind. you can see some of the north wind at napa 8. fairfield north. northeast at oakland. gives you an idea of what is going on. temperatures once they get going will warm up. the warmest temps will be coast and bay or santa rosa which benefits from that north wind. sunny and breezy today. a cold, cold morning. 50s and 60s. low to mid. in fact, this may be the coolest day of the week. we will see warmer temps kick in on tuesday and carry us right probably into friday. pretty good fine line here. each day temps will be warming up here. high pressure sets in on the west coast. over all it looks like a quiet pattern. >>> time now 6:10. bracing for a doctor shortage here in california. what is c

to below freezing in some areas. 31 degrees right now novato. 30 in napa. 29 in santa rosa. we are off to a chilly start. walnut creek below freezing. livermore 30 degrees for you. around the peninsula mid to upper 30s. oakland, hayward, sfo reporting 32. 37 degrees half-moon bay. san francisco the warmer spot 43 degrees outside your door. into menlo park you are below freezing. 30 degrees. 33 in foster city. so you get the idea here. if you do have to be outdoors early this morning, bring along a jacket. it's a cold one. going to the farmers market to pick up that fresh fruit we will be chilly for the next couple of hours. the pacific satellite view there is the ridge rebuilding and strengthening over california. as et does it will continue to -- as it does we will continue to drive up our temperatures. mostly sunny skies. the warming trend taking us anywhere from five to eight to perhaps ten degrees above the seasonal average. i'm going to show you that in the extended forecast. for today 59-degrees in vallejo. 59 for san rafael. low 60s novato. santa rosa. napa. 61 for oakland today

soaring near 70 degrees. outside now 62 degrees in oakland, 63 santa rosa, 60 in san francisco. blue skies all the way to the beach. and here is that ridge again building in and a dominant ridge. this is going to keep the storm track north of the bay area for the next five to seven days so these temperatures running rather mild. a dry week ahead looks like so yeah, boy, can't change it so might as well enjoy it. looks like overnight tonight, we'll see some patchy fog developing along the coastline and maybe just inside the bay. not a whole lot but maybe just a smidgeon of fog early on. and then looks like we are going to see an offshore wind kick in as we head in toward the latter part of the week. of course, that will help clear out your skies to the coast and warm those temperatures up. 62 degrees expected in san jose, 59 today a little cool into pacifica, east bay temperatures up into the low 60s. and as you head inside the bay we'll find plenty of sunshine and some temperatures running as high as 63 degrees in oakland, about 64 in santa rosa an

. yesterday, we had some upper 60s. santa rosa, napa and downtown oakland hit 68. that will not happen today. tomorrow, more of the same. fog, sun but then the extended on thursday and friday look warmer. highs in the upper 60s and i think low 70s. still no sign of any rain as you can see. high pressure just says i will deflect everything to the north except for a few occasional high clouds. if you remember last friday, we did have a little bit of rain. our little bit of a rain has turned into a whopper of a system. snow in oklahoma city, 1 to had. er -- 1 to 4. there was about 9 inches in the texas panhandle. that little guy picked up a lot of oomph and is producing a lot of weather. 50s on the temperatures. we had low 30s this morning. had even cooler temperatures by the coast. now almost everyone is close here. about 53, 54, 55. a little more running at 57. concord is 53. still a compoint -- component offshore. the fog is going offshore. same for palo alto. sunny, nice. a little cooler, coast and bay. but everyone in on the sunshine. highs will be far enough away you don't have any influe

just above freezing in napa, 37 in santa rosa, 39 san jose, mostly clear skies to start out the morning. high clouds drifting across the skies but high pressure will bring the temperatures up at least a couple of degrees by the afternoon. in fact, right around seasonal for this time of year. temperatures on average usually to mid-60s. i think we'll get close to that into the afternoon. maybe a little warmer into santa rosa at 65. 64 in concord and 63 degrees just slightly below average in san jose but feeling good. >> it is feeling good. we're excited. the weekend is here. unfortunately we have a problem spot this morning already in our traffic department. right now there is a traffic alert a fatal accident we're watching in redwood city. we are continuing to get some more details from chp. the road is closed right there at bayshore road and seaport boulevard so this may impact traffic heading into the port of redwood city. we understand it was a solo car accident. the person hit a fire hydrant and went through a fence. the person killed

is under 100% of the season. in the immediate bay area, santa rosa is now 99% of normal. san francisco 90 and san jose, 86. we were doing so well until january came and february is not looking much better. there's really not any screaming message that says rain, rain, rain. not a lot. warmer this week as high pressure builds in. our system continues to march across the country. it's snowing cincinnati. down towards memphis and then rain in the deep south and then heading into the carolinas and even parts of jacksonville. we could pick up .25. they pick up a wide variety of weather. 30s for temperatures or 40s. temperatures will hold now that the fog has formed. high pressure says i will make it nice and warm a little later. but a lot of morning fog and then plenty of sunshine. 50s, 60s. st. helena, clearlake, ukiah, 67 to 68. 63 walnut creek, 63 alameda and berkeley. a little bit more of a summertime pattern even though it's a very small scale. temperatures will beer warmer inland -- will be warmer inland. tomorrow looks warmer. we'll carry that into friday. >> thank you, steve. >>> barry

northwest of santa rosa. startling discovery, a triple homicide. the sonoma county sheriff's department was called to the home on rock station road after 3:00 this afternoon. our nbc chopper is on the scene and the investigators and deputies are on the scene down below where three men were found dead inside of a house. this is new video now just in to our newsroom. a sheriff's lieutenant says all the victims were shot to death. we don't yet know their identities or how they are related. we will continue to bring you updates on this case as we get them. >> now to another disturbing story, this one involving a teenaged girl apparently murdered. her naked body dumped in a fair field park. tonight we know who that girl is and police are hoping that a photo of her last known image will help lead them to her killer. jodi hernandez has been following the story since it first broke. jodi, it's hard to see the fphoo and video. >> reporter: police did identify that girl. they also released a chilling image taken of her just minutes before she was last seen alive. they are hoping that photograph w

degrees. santa rosa 57. napa still on the cooler side. at last check reporting 50 degrees. forecast headlines for tonight, patchy fog and clearing out there for today. and then tomorrow some patchy morning fog, a little bit warmer. a few neighborhoods approaching the 70-degree mark as we do head toward thursday and friday. the weekend no rain clouds just yet. just a little bit of a dropoff in temperatures. high pressure continues to strengthen off shore. as a result, the storm track being pushed up way to our north. with the high in place, though, going to hold on to some patchy fog first thing tomorrow morning. it's a very stable setup. the key here, we're locked in this dry weather pattern right on through the weekend. our next chance of some rain and the forecast models kind of getting a better idea. that could be on tuesday. but does not look like a big deal at all in materials of significant rainfall but -- terms of significant rainfall but still a switch in the weather pattern next week. here's our forecast model showing you this. decreasing overcast for this afternoon with mo
